Computer Support

ITS offers full support to Institute-owned computers and devices. When a computer is being serviced, ITS will seek to provide a temporary work-around so that work is not stopped. For hardware/software acquistion, please fill out the ITS Purchase Request Form.

ITS support of personal devices is limited to the following:

  • Accessing e-mail and calendars
  • Installing the VDI View Client


Training Procedures

ITS provides training in various areas to develop technical skills needed for business responsibilities and professional development. Training includes the use of software applications such as Adobe and Microsoft Office.

Training Methods Include: One-on-One, Departmental, Groups, Face-to-Face, Webinar, Lunch & Learn, and Workshops.

Panopto is a tool for recording, streaming, and storing video. The specific usage of Panopto is for creating training videos and videos for use in courses. To learn more, view the 90-second video below:

Event Planning

Equipment for Checkout

ITS has equipment available for general classroom use, PCMs and other Moody business. Equipment is available either by walk-in or reservation and may include a fee for usage. Equipment is not available for employee personal use (home or ministry).

Available by Walk-In

The following equipment is available for checkout from the ITS Service Desk on a walk-in basis, pending availability. Reservations are not available for this equipment, and rental costs do not apply. Duration of checkout varies between equipment types. Equipment may vary per campus.

  • External optical drives (disc readers)
  • Firewire/USB cables
  • Headphones
  • Display adapters
  • Notebook computers (for education use only)
  • PowerPoint remotes

Available by Reservation Only

All equipment not listed above must be reserved by 3:00pm the day prior to pick up by submitting the Audio-Visual Request Form. 

To submit a new A/V Event Equipment Request, you will be required to sign into the myMoody portal and find the A/V Event Equipment Request form here:

Students and Faculty can find it under the Technology Assistance section of their respective tabs.

Staff can find the form under the Quicklinks section.

Some equipment may be subject to a consummable charge for things such as projector bulbs. Contact the ITS Service Desk to learn what equipment is available for a reservation and information regarding consummable charges that may apply.

Video Conferencing

If you would like to use video conferencing for a meeting, simply schedule the rooms in Outlook. There is no longer the need to send a request to ITS. Below are the rooms in which video conferencing capabilities are available.  Remember to schedule rooms on each campus!


PLEASE NOTE: Scheduling the rooms does not schedule a technician for the meeting. If you would like a technician to be on-site for the start of your meeting, please submit an Audio/Visual Request (labor charges will be applied to your cost center).

Astra Schedule is the room scheduling system for all Education rooms on the Chicago campus. Astra is used to reserve classrooms, conference rooms and other spaces from one centralized reservation system. Access Astra by:

  • Going to, navigating to the "Staff" tab and clicking on the "Astra Scheduler" Quick Link.
  • OR opening a web browser, and typing into the address bar.

AV Production Planning

The ITS Media Production team provides audio and video services for campus events such as Candlelight Carols, Founder’s Week, and Pastor’s Conference. Our multimedia production services are also available to all departments at MBI and its ministry partners. These services involve the creation of a program from conception to completion and include a definition of objectives and needs, creation of the program and its elements, and the delivery of the program to the client in an appropriate format. ITS, in cooperation with Integrated Marketing Communications, is able to provide video streaming for live events. When living streaming an event, ITS desires to meet the goals of the event organizers and give the viewer an experience that is similar to that being experiences by those in attendance of the live event.

To submit a streaming request, please fill out the Video Streaming Questionnaire and email it to Our Media Production team will contact you once they have reviewed this information.

All video streaming events produced by ITS, will be done in accordance with MBI corporate policies and doctrinal statements. Events conflicting with these standards will not be streamed. In the streaming of any MBI sponsored event, ITS will seek to provide a Moody corporate-branded look and feel, while at the same time delivering the presented information accurately. All video streaming should follow MBI Public Relations policies and quality standards.
