While you are a student at Moody, you will have an @moody.edu email address and mailbox. Important: This email account will be shut down when you depart Moody and you will lose all access to your emails. Please remember to save all the information you need from that mailbox and direct your contacts to send emails to an alternate email address.
Student Email Forwarding
You are responsible to be aware of all information sent to your @moody.edu address. If you would like to set up mail forwarding to another address (please note that mail forwarding will also cease when you depart Moody),
Sign into the myMoody Student portal located at my.moody.edu, and open the "Office 365 Student Email" link in the top left corner
After entering your username and password, you should see your student inbox
At the top of the page, choose Outlook (or Mail). Or, choose the app launcher > Mail.
At the top of the page, select Settings > Options, and then select the following: Mail > Accounts > Forwarding
Select Start forwarding, enter the email address you want, set or clear the "Keep a copy of forwarded messages in Outlook Web App" check box, and then select Save.
ITS (Sweeting) has equipment available for general classroom use, PCMs and other Moody business. Some equipment is available on a walk-in basis, and other equipment must be reserved in advance.

The following equipment is available for checkout from the Support Center Desk on a walk-in basis, pending availability. Reservations are not available for this equipment, and rental costs do not apply. The available equipment will vary according to campus.

All equipment not listed above must be reserved in advance using the Audio-Visual Request Form. The equipment itself is free for MBI business and student use but, in some cases, there may be a consumables charge for things like projector bulbs. Unfortunately, equipment is not available for employee personal (home or ministry) use. Contact the Support Center Desk x4001 to learn what equipment is available for a reservation along with any consumable charges may apply.
Printing on the Chicago and Spokane campuses is done through a prepaid system using a campus lab computer or wirelessly from a personal laptop, tablet or smartphone. Students log-in to print.moody.edu and select a printer location.
Printing services are available in all computer labs except on Smith 2 and the Language Lab. Documents are released by logging into or fobbing the printer’s release station, then selecting the desired print job. Documents are accessible from the printer’s queue for up to four hours before being deleted. The staff will ensure that the printers are in working order and stocked with paper and toner.
There must be funds in a student’s printing account before any printing can be done. Funds may be added to a student’s printing account 24/7 online with a credit/debit card. Funds may be transferred between students' accounts.
Customers are responsible for all print jobs generated from their personal accounts. Single-sided printing costs are as follows (per sheet of paper):
Black and White: $0.05/page
Double-sided printing counts as two pages and is double the single-sided cost (per sheet of paper)
After a student leaves Moody, his/her printing account will expire, and any unused funds will revert back to Moody. However, a student may transfer any unused funds to another student’s account prior to their printing account expiration. It is the sole responsibility of the student to transfer any unused funds.
Blackboard is the learning management system used for the delivery of face-to-face, online, and blended courses at the Moody Bible Institute.
To access Blackboard, open a Web browser (Firefox and Chrome work best) and go to one of the following addresses:
https://my.moody.edu. This is a link to Blackboard through the Moody portal. After you have logged in, click the “Faculty” tab (faculty) or the “Students” tab (students). Then, click the “Blackboard 9.1” link in the Academic Self Service area to access the Blackboard login page.
Foliotek is an e-portfolio application used by some and programs at Moody. Instructors in these programs will inform the students who need to use Foliotek and also provide the information necessary to access it.
Support for this application is provided by Foliotek, so all questions should be directed to them at 888-365-4639 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kurzweil 3000 is an assistive technology, text to speech, learning tool that supports the concept of Universal Design for Learning with a suite of powerful reading, writing, test-taking, and study skill tools that make curriculum accessible to all students. It is particularly appropriate for students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, those who require reading intervention, students struggling with reading comprehension and English Language Learners (ELL).
SafeAssign is the plagiarism-detection tool included with Blackboard. Use the links below to get started in using SafeAssign. Contact the ITS Support Center Desk with any questions or to request assistance.
Equipment and Reservations for Communication Students
ITS provides the necessary AV equipment for communications courses. This equipment is only available to certified communications students, faculty, and ITS staff. It is not available to the general public. There is no rental fee for this equipment if used for class. Communications students must reserve equipment via the Comm. Student Equipment Reservation Form.
Equipment is available based on class enrollment.
Sweeting 4 Access
Access to studios and edit suites on Sweeting 4 is granted based on class enrollment or special permission. To request special access please see the ITS Support Center or email ITSequipment@moody.edu.
All access requests should be sent to email@example.com.
To ensure the availability of an edit suite you already have access to, reserve the room at rooms.moody.edu at least 24 hours in advance.
